the ramblings continue!!

Last night I was talking to my mum, and said how our computer is becoming rather munted.... for example - yesterday I was typing, and for some unknown reason, it changed to Chinese!!! bloody hell! I figured out how to change it back - but buggered if I know how it did it in the first place! And it wasn't just once either! Office is totally munted too! Anyway - she said I should take it and get it fixed, and she would pay for it (yay! my mum is a sucker! hehe - but in the nicest possible way!!) Tho, I said I would probably just stick it out til January when we could afford to get it upgraded.

So last night, I was in feeding Sam, and it hit me... So I sent her a text message, and put my proposal to her. I asked her if she would consider paying for us to get our upgrade now, and we would pay her back in full in January. She said I should get a quote, and we would discuss it. That's usually her way of saying yes :) Like I said - she's a sucker, in the nicest possible way! hehe So I emailed our lovely computer guy, and am waiting for a reply! Pretty much, we want to keep anything that is salvageable - esp our 2 hard drives!! But we are going to get XP (cos we're running 98, and have been since forever!!), a DVD burner *woooo - shiny!* and a LCD monitor - cos we have NO space whatsoever!! We're also going to get a multifunction printer, and my mum will take our printer and scanner (this is for space purposes more than anything too!!)


Sam is totally 100% better now too! She did almost 11.5 hours last night - so almost back to how she was sleeping before she was sick! I'm SO glad it only turned out to be a 48 hour or so thing!

I battled for ages to get her to go to sleep today. I really think she doesn't like being wrapped - but during the day, it is the only way to get her to go to sleep, and stay asleep!! So I decided that I'd try her in her sleep suit. She went down over an hour ago, with minimal fuss! The magical sleep suit strikes again!!

Yesterday when we were at Spotlight, I stumbled across all this awesome polar fleece on sale for less than $10! Its embroidered, and embossed, and printed stuff, so I bought a metre each of different ones - Ceri - I think I've got the one I'll use for your bub! its yellow, with letters embroidered on it, and... *goes to check* little blocks printed on it - its totally cute and gender neutral!! :) I couldn't fit more than 5 rolls in the trolley - as it was Sam was almost completely hidden! And when we found her, she was snuggling into a roll like a pillow! hehe SO cute! wish I'd had my camera with me! So, I'm going to head back this afternoon, and get some more! Hopefully it won't be as busy in there today! Tho, I doubt it!

Ceri - hows next Thursday? same time, same place for that cuppa? Hopefully we shall all be well for next week! hehe

I'm so cold at the moment. Have been since last night. AF is giving me pains too. And I'm thinking that perhaps things are getting back on track, as since I've had it back, its been not much more than a trickle, total opposite this month!!

Speaking of which, got an email from Ovusoft yesterday, they have put out a new version, and cos I bought the first one, I can buy the new one at a very discounted rate! woo! I think I might take them up on their kind offer! hehe *looks tentatively at credit card* hmmmmm......
